Prepare Your Weapon, Optics and Carried Gear

  1. Choose your target species and check its recommended caliber icons in the game menus. Use that recommendation to narrow your weapon choice.
  2. Purchase the correct hunting license at the computer in your Hunting Lodge before harvesting. Without the correct license, your trophy cannot be validated.
  3. Use the lodge's armory loadout bench for weapons and hunting items. If you need to purchase equipment, Credits are the currency used for weapons and gear.
  4. Select a supported caliber at the weapon bench. Buying the weapon unlocks all calibers that weapon supports, so check your existing choices before buying another firearm.
  5. Choose a compatible scope or other attachment you already own. Purchased attachments work across compatible weapons without needing another purchase for each firearm.
  6. Review your backpack, ammunition, optics and hunting items before leaving. Keep your carried gear focused on the species and approach you have planned.
  7. Take your setup to the Shooting Range at the Hunting Lodge and practice your aim before heading into the wilderness.
